We are proud to introduce The Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Post — or simply SWPost — a new local news source created to give our community an alternative to the coverage offered by traditional local print media.
For too long, residents of Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and the surrounding region have had limited choices in how they receive their local news. SWPost aims to change that by providing clear, timely, and accessible reporting on the issues that matter most — from city council decisions and county government to neighborhood developments and local school district initiatives.
Our mission is to deliver reporting that is responsive and relevant. Where legacy outlets often frame stories through a narrow lens, SWPost will strive to broaden the conversation, offering readers context, fresh perspectives, and a space to engage with their community.
But this publication isn’t just about policies and politics — it’s about people. SWPost will spotlight local businesses, leaders, and everyday residents who help shape the character of Northeastern Pennsylvania, adding balance to a media landscape that too often overlooks these stories.
We welcome you to join us on this new venture. Together, we can build a platform that not only informs, but empowers.
Welcome to The Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Post.
